Nickel Pleated (2021) is the first release by ^22 (Lou Mallozzi and Vincent Raude). These three collisions are made from several hundred short samples culled from the duo’s improvised performances in Chicago and France. Working for several months in independent sequestration separated by 6,428 kilometers, they shared and sheared, subjecting the lot to a variety of capricious rules, unpredictable impediments and jovial manipulations.
